Hello all!
I am writing this from Sault Sainte Marie currently, after surviving tornado warnings, dime-sized mosquitoes, and eviction notices…
Our show in Winnipeg at the Pyramid was packed! We played that night with Winnipeg’s Boats who played a great set and also Winnipeg’s Cheering for the Bad Guy. The show went real well all and all and we were very happy to start off this tour with a good show like that. We debuted a new cover at this show as well
The next morning, the shagbots met our head of state. She waved right at us. We are basically royal now biotches. That was top-ten coolest things ever! and it happened just by chance… After that, we headed East which marked the farthest we have ever traveled East as a band! We entered Ontario and our first Ontario stop was Kenora, home of Mike Richards. We then were forced to enter the mouth of a storm that threatened to slow our eastward progress to a crawl..We survived it bravely and marched on towards the great lakes!
We stopped in Thunder Bay for the night and explored some local…culture. We headed to a local club/bar/watering hole called Scuttlebutt’s. It was interesting to say the least..We returned home to speak at a normal level, move around our hotel room, brush our teeth and other wild and crazy rock-star activities. Naturally, this caused us to be served with an eviction warning and were spared of a night in the truck by a generous security guard.
We headed to the lakehead where we currently sit. Tomorrow we head to Port Perry!
