First Days..

Well, the moments right before we embarked on this great Central Canadian tour were…tense…to say the least. The bots survived a near catastrophe when our transportation  fell through at the last moment. Through an act of unbelievable charity on behalf of Devins family, we are riding in Jay-Z’s truck all throughout this tour. In summary, we are lucky sacks of shat.

We started off eastwards for our show on friday in Winnipeg. Despite attempts to pack lightly, we ended up basically filling our trailer.. you can take a look at what our packing looks like here. We headed to Swift Current for our first stop for the night. Stopping to view the beautiful Medicine hat teepee and playing the first edition of  We arrived at around 2:30 AM to Swift Current to the friendly confines of our hotel which could have doubled for the Bates Motel at one time. We headed just around the corner to our hotel room. Sadly, no one informed us that this particular part of Swift Current was the insect capital of the universe. A hefty spider greeted our arrival in the corner of our hotel room, a hotel room that could be opened with a healthy push rather than a key.

This lead to an assault on the mosquitoe population of epic proportion.

Today we visited an old friend. We made our second trip to Elkhorn Manitoba. It is our favorite town ever. Despite 31 degree heat and the stares of the locals, we staged a very successful soccer game by the coop gas station next to the war monument across the street from the legion and the post office…you know the spot..

We arrived in Brandon Manitoba, home of the Wheat Kings. The temperature of Brandon tonight felt like Hawaii and we met the nicest waitress ever at the Canad Inns bar who made a lasting impression on us.. Brandon is awesome and we even saw a few fireworks from the bed of the truck…

Tomorrow we hit the Peg for the Kustom Kulture show.. should be awesome!
